CCV Announces Digital Dropbox

Have you ever wanted to share a large file with your colleagues, only to find that e-mail won’t let you due to its size or file type? The Center for Computation and Visualization is pleased to announce the availability of the Brown Digital Dropbox.

The Dropbox provides temporary web based storage for sharing mid to large data files of any type. A unique URL is provided for each file that can be given to others for downloading. The system can also be used to create an upload URL for allowing collaborators outside Brown to upload their files to the Dropbox. This service is currently available as a full functioning beta test to all faculty, staff, and graduate students. To use this service simply go to https://dropbox.brown.edu, no other software is required.
