The SGI Altix Powerlearn Seminar is a half-day course for “PowerUsers” who develop, optimize, and parallelize scientific applications on SGI Altix systems. A 4-CPU Altix system will be available in CCV for the next month, for users’ evaluation.
The outline of subjects covered will be:
- Overview of Intel Itanium-2 and Altix CC-NUMA Architectures
- Altix Development Environment: Compilers, Debuggers, Libraries and Performance Analysis Tools
- Development and Execution of Parallel Applications in OpenMP and MPI, and NUMA Placement Tools
